Amkeni Uganda a Non-profit Organization

Amkeni Uganda is a non-profit, community based and youth-led Organization, with main aim to improve the livelihoods and socio-cultural development of vulnerable communities, especially vulnerable women and youths. It started on 15/06/2021 with vision of 16 cultivators of Kaborogota zone aiming to cope with different shocks within their areas.
we came together as one and we started a VSLA group and production of onions, tomatoes, cabbages etc...; with the pressing needs of refugees to easy the access on financial means in order to be self-depending(starting the business) and to take their destinity in their hands and to fight malnutrition.

In 2023, we become a CBO, in order to be part of the change we want to see in our community, in this we trained more than 10 groups about soap making, juice making, bakery and hand-crafts.

Since 2024, we came to realise that we can be the influence of change in our community and host community as well; As we came from Aid to resilience now we are an organization that stands up to the needy.
